The ARVANTEO Field Jacket

A four-pocket field jacket in full-grain goatskin, which is lighter than cowhide and more resistant to scuffing — the right hide for a jacket that is meant to be worn hard. Thigh-length with a drawcord waist, a stand collar that buttons closed, and bellows pockets that actually hold things.

The field jacket is the one silhouette in the range that comes from the ground rather than the road or the sky. Its logic is storage and weather: four pockets you can reach with the jacket done up, a collar that closes, a waist that cinches. We made it in goatskin because the pebbled grain hides the marks that a jacket like this is going to pick up.

Leather has very little give, so the fit you buy is the fit you keep. If you are between sizes, check the shoulder measurement first — it is the one measurement that cannot be altered.

Store on a wide hanger away from direct heat and sunlight. Wipe clean with a dry cloth; treat with a leather conditioner once or twice a year. Never machine wash or tumble dry. For deep cleaning, use a specialist leather cleaner.
